PMO staff gets 3 years for extortion

A special court dealing with graft suspects Monday sentenced Prime Minister's Office (PMO) staffer SM Ahsan Habib to three years for extortion, reports bdnews24.com.
The same court sentenced Bengal Consultant owner Mirza Khabir, charged in the same case, to two years' rigorous imprisonment.
Judge Md Firoz Alam of Special Judges' Court-1 also fined Habib Tk 9.5 million or three more months in jail on failure to pay the fine.
