PM's efforts to resolve BDR unrest hailed

Leaders of the National Front of Teachers and Employees (NFTE) Thursday lent total support to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's move to resolve BDR mutiny and restore normalcy in chain of command, reports BSS.
In a statement, the NFTE leaders said the prime minister's address to the nation is balanced and statesman-like. It showed the way for resolving the stand-off peacefully, protecting democracy, restoring chain of command and removing anxiety from public life.
They said the Prime Minister's firm stand at this critical juncture of time to give security to the nation and restore discipline is a right move.
The signatories to the statement are leaders of 11 components of the NFTE. They include its coordinator Principal Qazi Faruq Ahmed, president of Bangladesh Shikkhak Association Mohammad Azizul Islam, secretary general of Bangladesh College Teachers' association Prof Asadul Haque, president of Bangladesh College- Universities Teachers' Association Principa and MA Sattar.
