Leaders of Prokrichi Samannaya Parishad (PSP) Wednesday sought intervention of Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina for realisation of their seven-point demand including making the administration discrimination-free, reports BSS.
Addressing a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club in the city, they urged the government to bring all heads of organisations including autonomous bodies under Grade-I scale and create supernumerary posts within one month to remove discrimination in the administration.
PSP leaders including president of Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) Eng M Nurul Huda, president of Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) Prof Dr Nitish Chandra Devnath, president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Prof Dr Mahmudul Hasan, IEB general secretary Eng M Abdus Sabur, KIB secretary general AFM Bahauddin Nasim and BMA secretary general Prof Sharfuddin Ahmed addressed the press conference.
"We have sought Prime Minister's intervention to realise our demands," IEB President Eng M Nurul Huda said.
It is necessary to bring reform in the administration with a view to building poverty-free, golden sonar Bangla in accordance with the present government's election manifesto-the charter for change, Vision-2021, he said.
