Police arrest 15 BNP-Jamaat men

THAKURGAON, Feb 6 (UNB): Police here arrested at least 15 leaders and activists of BNP-Jamaat during separate drives in different areas of the district from Sunday evening to Monday.

Police said seven people were arrested from Sadar upazila, three from Ranisankail, three from Haripur and one from Baliadangi.

Police superintendent of Thakurgaon Farhad Ahmed said the BNP-Jamaat men were detained as they may instigate violence centring a court's verdict to be delivered on February 8 in a graft case against their chairperson Khaleda Zia.
