CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 3 (UNB): Police arrested three BNP and Jubo Dal leaders allegedly along with 300 gram gunpowder from Shantibagh of the district town early Saturday.
The arrestees are district BNP Vice-president Mobinur Rahman Miah, Sadar thana unit general secretary Aminul Islam and district Jubo Dal activist Ismail Hossain.
Being tipped that BNP leaders and activists were holding a clandestine meeting at the house of Mobin, a police team conducted a raid there around 4:00am and arrested the trio along with the gunpowder, said Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station Atiqul Islam.
