Police launch hotlines for reporting election code violations

The Police Headquarters and the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have launched dedicated mobile numbers to address complaints related to law and order ahead of the 13th national election slated for February 12 next.

The Police Headquarters said people can now directly contact the control room at 01320001223, 01320001300, or 01320001299 to address complaints related to law and order ahead of the national elections on February 12, according to a the ministry home affairs handout.

These mobile numbers will remain open round the clock (24 hours a day) to ensure prompt response and assistance in maintaining public safety.

Citizens are requested to use these numbers for reporting emergencies and law-and-order related issues.

Meanwhile, The DMP has also launched hotline numbers to help voters lodge complaints or obtain information ahead of the upcoming 13th parliamentary elections and the referendum scheduled for February 12.

The DMP introduced the hotline number to allow anyone to report election-related complaints directly to the police.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman urged voters in the capital to use the hotline numbers to provide the police with information on any violations of the election code of conduct or other irregularities on polling day.

The hotline numbers are: 01320037358, 01320037359 and 01320037360.
