KUSHTIA, Aug 10 (UNB): A local Awami League (AL) leader was arrested from Chandgram Naodapara village in Bheramara Upazila Thursday for not repaying bank loan.
Police said Bheramara Upazila AL vice-president Abul Hossain, also former chairman of Chandgram Union Parishad, took loan from a local bank during the rule of AL government but did not refund the money so long.
Bheramara police arrested Hossain after a court issued arrest warrant against him for not repaying the loan money.
