Police nab BNP leader

JAMALPUR, Jan 12 (BSS): Jamalpur police arrested a local leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) from Kacharipara area in the town in the early hours of today.
Police sources said the arrested is identified as Shamim Ahmed, organising secretary of the district BNP.
The police conducted a raid to nab the BNP leader. A case was filed against him under Section 16(2) of the Emergency Powers Rules with Jamalpur Sadar police station, the sources said.
