Mosaddeq Ali Falu, former BNP lawmaker, who underwent grilling for eleven days, was allowed another four days' police remand Tuesday.
Chief Metropolitan Magis-trate (CMM) court allowed the remand when police produced Falu before it and sought seven days' remand in connection with relief goods misappropriation case, reports UNB.
Police prosecutor told the court that Falu, a close associate of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has disclosed startling information and clues that need to be verified.
He sought for another seven-day remand but magistrate Jagannath Das Khokan granted four days.
Joint forces arrested Falu during the crackdown on suspected corrupt politicians and business magnates following the state of emergency decla-red on January 11 this year.
