Police to quiz Rizvi, Dudu at jail gate

A Dhaka court ordered on Thursday the investigation officers (IO) to grill detained BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and the party chairperson's adviser

The court also rejected their petitions for bail and police remand in nine cases,

When police produced Dudu and Rizvi before the court, Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Imdadul Haque passed the order after hearing the petitions for bail and remand.

The magistrate directed the IOs to question them at the jail gate within three working days.

Mohammad Sanaullah Miah, lawyer of Rizvi and Dudu, filed the bail petitions in nine cases with the court while police sought remand of 27 days for Rizvi in three cases filed with Paltan and Motijheel thanas and 60 days for Dudu in six cases also filed with the same police stations.Police showed Rizvi arrested on May 21 in an arson attack case filed with the Motijheel thana while he was shown arrested on May 25 in two cases filed with Paltan thana for attacking police and vandalism.
