Post offices to remain open on polls day: EC

The Election Commission (EC) Tuesday sent a letter to the postal authority with a request to keep the post offices open on December 29, the election day, reports BSS.
EC Senior Assistant Secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan said the commission has planned to keep all the post offices open so that the presiding officers can send copies of vote casting from the respective polling centres directly to the EC.
