Preparatory meet on voters' list, ID cards held

NOAKHALI, Oct 4 (UNB): A preparatory meeting on preparing voters' list with photographs and national identity (ID) cards was held at Shilpakala Academy in the town Wednesday.
A total of 1,200 persons, including district and upazila level officials, municipality and Union Parishad (UP) chairmen, commissioners and members, teachers, data collectors, computer operators, enumerators, election officers, journalists and civil society members, took part at the meeting held under the supervision of armed forces.
The relevant members were given practical training on how to approach people going door to door, how to fill up the forms and other necessary rules and regulations to make the programme a success.
Deputy Commissioner Moha-mmad Habibul Kabir Chowdhury and Superintendent of Police (SP) Mushfiqur Rahman also spoke on the occasion.
