President, CA greet Canadian counterparts

President Iajuddin Ahmed and Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed have congratulated their Canadian counterparts on the Canada Day that falls on Sunday, reports UNB.
In a message to the Canada Governor General Michaelle Jean, President Iajuddin said, "I take this opportunity also to express my sincere hope that the amity and cooperation that are happily existing between our two friendly countries will grow in depth and dimension in the years ahead."
In a separate message to Canadian Premier Stephen Harper, CA Fakhruddin Ahmed said, "We appreciate the Canadian assistance and support in our endeavour for the socio-economic development of the people of Bangladesh."
He also expressed his confidence that the existing bonds of friendship, cooperation and understanding between the two Commonwealth countries would grow in strength in the years ahead.
The President and the Chief Adviser also wished their counterparts' good health, happiness and long life as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Canada.
