President for presenting true history of Liberation War before children

President M Zillur Rahman Wednesday emphasised on presenting the true history of the War of Liberation as well as country's rich tradition before young generation for imbuing them with patriotism, reports BSS.
"It's our responsibility to build young generation in the spirit of War of Liberation," the President made the comments while speaking at the inaugural function of 'National Children's Day-2010' on the 90th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela at Bangabhaban Wednesday.
The President said children will feel proud of knowing the glorious history of the country's Great War of Liberation and from that they will be able to perceive their responsibilities towards the country and the people.
The President said, it's a matter of joy and pride for the entire nation that the National Children's Day is being observed on the birthday of the Father of the Nation.
Through various programmes, the President hoped, young generation would know about lifestyle and works of the great architect of the country's independence Bangaba-ndhu as well as his immense contribution to achieving the independence of the country.
Recalling that Bangab-andhu declared the independence on March 26 in 1971 and the country achieved its independence after nine months of bloody war and sacrifices of 3.0 million martyrs, the President said young generation would have to contribute to making the hard earned independence meaningful.
