President hosts Iftar for FFs, ulemas

President Abdul Hamid took on Thursday Iftar with orphans, family members of Birsresthas, war-wounded freedom fighters, ulema (religious scholars) and officials and employees of the Bangabhaban, reports BSS.

The President went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their well-being before the Iftar at the Darbar Hall.

Before the Iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessing for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Pesh imam of Bangabhaban Jame Mosque Maulana Saiful Kabir conducted the munajat.

A good number of FFs, prominent ulema, orphans and officials and employees of the Bangabhaban attended the Iftar. Family members of the President also attended the Iftar.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq, Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali and State Minister for Social Welfare Promod Mankin also joined the Iftar party.
