President, PM condole death of Delwar

President M Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wednesday expressed their deep shock at the death of BNP secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hosain, report agencies.
In a condolence message, Zillur Rahman said the country lost a veteran politician at the death of Delwar.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In another condolence message, Hasina prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Jatiya Sangsad today expressed profound shock at the death BNP secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hossain.
"I condole the death of Delwar Hossain on behalf of the House and convey deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family," Speaker Abdul Hamid Advocate said when opposition member Barrister Moudud Ahmed informed the house at the beginning of the day's proceedings about the demise of the BNP leader who was elected MP five times.
The speaker said, lawmakers, if wish will get chance to say something about late Delwar Hossain during the discussion on thanks giving motion of the President's speech. An obituary reference would be adopted during the next session, the Speaker told Moudud Ahmed as he requested to allow to speak on Delwar.
The speaker said the Namaz-e-Janaza would be held on the premises of the Sangsad when the body arrives from Singapore.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Advocate Abdul Hamid and Deputy Speaker Col (retd) Shaukat Ali Wednesday expressed their deep shock at the death of BNP secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hossain.
In a condolence message, Abdul Hamid said the country lost a veteran politician at the death of Delwar. An irreparable vacuum is created in country's politics at his death.
He prayed for peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family members.
Deputy Speaker Col (retd) Shaukat Ali condoled the death of Delwar and also prayed for peace of the departed soul and conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family members.
