President, PM greet Lithuanian counterparts

President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Saturday congratulated their Lithuanian counterparts on the occasion of its National Day to be observed today (Sunday), reports UNB.

In a message to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, President Hamid expressed his satisfaction at the excellent bilateral relations with Lithuania and reiterated that the bonds of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries will further be strengthened in the years ahead.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in her message, greeted her counterpart Algirdas Butkevicius and expressed her confidence that the bonds of friendships, understanding and cooperation with Lithuania will further be consolidated for the mutual benefit of the people of the two friendly countries.

The PM wished good health, long life and happiness for premier and for continued peace, progress and wellbeing of the people of Lithuania, according to a Foreign Ministry media release.
