President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed has called upon all to extend all-out cooperation towards the Election Commission (EC) as it is working to hold the next general elections as per its announced roadmap.
The President made the call when a 15-member delegation of Munshiganj Puja Udjapan Parishad, led by its Convener Advocate Ajay Chakravarty, met him at the Bangabhaban Wednesday, reports UNB.
President Iajuddin Ahmed said Bangladesh was a bright example of communal harmony as people belonging to different communities had been practising their own religious activities freely and peacefully.
Iajuddin also urged all to come forward in building the nation maintaining communal harmony and fraternity.
The delegation apprised the President of celebrating Puja in Munshiganj and said they were getting government cooperation in this connection.
Parishad Adviser Prof Anil Chakravarty and other members were also present at the meeting.
