Press Club chief urges judiciary to release Mahmud

National Press Club (NPC) president Shawkat Mahmud Tuesday urged the judiciary to take immediate initiatives for releasing the daily Amar Desh acting editor Mahmudur Rahman.
He was speaking at a human-chain programme, formed in front of NPC, demanding withdrawal of all the cases filed against Mahmudur Rahman and his immediate release.
Shikkhok Kormochari Oikkya Jote, a teachers-workers unity, organised the programme.
