Pro BNP-Jamaat teachers boycott class, exams at RU

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Feb 5: Two organisations of the Pro-BNP-Jamaat teachers at the Rajshahi University (RU), under the banner of White Panel and Nationalists Teachers forum (NTF) boycotted all of their classes and duties in examinations following the current political unrest over the country.

A member of White Panel, Dr. Mostafa Kamal confirmed the news.

He said the decision came from an emergency meeting held at the university Rabindra Bhaban on Wednesday evening.

In the meeting top executives of both organisations have taken the decision that about 400 pro- BNP Jamaat teachers would not perform professional duties until peaceful atmosphere ensured over the country.  

Academic activities resumed on Tuesday while orientation classes for the new first year students were held on that day.
