The chief of the committee investigating BNP leader Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury's (SQC) sending letters to the speaker and the UK government from jail, has expressed his willingness to relinquish the position, reports bdnews24.com. The committee, asked to submit a report within a fortnight of its formation on Mar 1, is yet to start its business. The committee chief Iqbal Khan Chowdhury, also an additional home secretary, in a letter to the home secretary has expressed his desire to resign, citing preoccupation with other tasks. "I sent a letter to the [home] secretary on Mar 25 requesting him to release me since it is not possible for me to do the job due to the huge work-load," he told the news agency Thursday.
