Pry school torched in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Feb 4 (UNB): A government primary school was set alight by some miscreants at Jolagachchi village in Kaukhali upazila on Wednesday, the 4th-day of the 108-hour hartal and the 30th day of transport blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Additional deputy primary education officer Aminul Islam here said some miscreants set fire to Jolagacchi Government Primary School around 3 am.

Four rooms, one library, furniture, fans and some documents of the tin-roofed school were gutted by the fire, he said.
