PSC hands over annual report to President

Public Service Commission (PSC) Wednesday handed over its annual report of 2013 to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban, reports BSS.

A 14-member delegation of PSC led by its chairman Ekram Ahmed handed over the report by paying a call on President in the afternoon.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the President of the commission's activities. They said the present commission has so far completed seven BCS examinations in six years and recommended 18,636 persons to appoint them in various cadres.

The delegation informed the President that they received a list for filling 1749 vacant posts in different cadres through 35th BCS.

They also said that the commission has taken preliminary preparations to issue the circular of the 35th BCS.

Mentioning that the commission formed a committee to make the BCS examination syllabus modern and time-befitting, the delegation said that the committee has already submitted a draft of modern and time-befitting syllabus to the commission.
