Quader hails new budget as pro-poor, business-friendly

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has hailed the newly unveiled national budget as pro-poor, business-friendly and people-oriented, reports UNB.

He was talking to reporters outside the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday after the presentation of the budget for FY 2022-23 by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.

Quader said, "There is certainty in this budget as the social safety net has increased by TK 70 billion (7,000 crore) with expansion of the coverage."

He said attention has been paid to the lower and middle classes in this budget considering all aspects. It's a budget for lower income people, he said in his instant reaction.
