Quader urges AL men to stay united under Hasina's leadership

Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday called upon the party leaders and workers to remain united under the leadership Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina to go ahead defying all odds, reports BSS.
"We will have to go ahead under the leadership of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina defying all impediments in the days to come," he said.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, was addressing a discussion at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city marking Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's Homecoming Day.
"We have tough challenge to face in the coming days. To face the challenge, we will have to further strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina. We will have to remain united to build a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," he said.
AL Presidium Member Begum Matia Chowdhury chaired the discussion. AL Publicity and Publications Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and Deputy Publicity Secretary Aminul Islam Amin moderated the discussion.
The people want that Padma Bridge to be named after Sheikh Hasina but the premier and her sister Sheikh Rehana don't want that, Obaidul Quader mentioned.
He said conspiracies were hatched centring Padma Bridge and propaganda was spread against the premier and her family members.
Overcoming all conspiracies, Padma Bridge is visible today under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he said.
Quader said in the post 1975-period, Sheikh Hasina is the most successful diplomat, efficient administrator, honest and popular leader in the country in the last 41 years.
Today, Bangladesh has become a role model of development in the world under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he said.
As Sheikh Hasina returned to her homeland, war criminals and killers of Bangabandhu were brought to justice and the country is witnessing unprecedented development in all sectors, he said.
Matia Chowdhury said under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter, Bangladesh is marching forward towards prosperity, per capita income increased, and progress in agriculture, education and communications continues.
Even Bangladesh had extended financial support to Sri Lanka, she said.
Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim said the defeated forces of 1971 didn't stop their conspiracies by assassinating Bangabandhu and most of his family members rather they are out to ruin Awami League and the spirit of Liberation War.
The country had become a safe haven for militancy and terrorism, he said, adding that conspiracies were hatched repeatedly to assassinate Bangabandhu's daughter and AL President Sheikh Hasina.
He urged the party leaders and workers to stay prepared to resist any kind of conspiracy and to become true ideological solider of Bangabandhu.
