Quader's mother in eternal rest

Begum Fazilatunnesa, mother of Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, who passed away at a city hospital on Monday night was laid to eternal rest on Tuesday noon, report agencies.
Fazilatunnesa, who died at 92, was buried at their family graveyard at Rajapur village in Companyganj upazila of Noakhali district.
She breathed her last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University around 10:35pm. Fazilatunnesa had been admitted to the hospital on February 23 after she suffered a stroke.
She left behind five sons, five daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
Fazilatunnesa's namaz-e-janaza was held at Basurhat Government Mujib College ground after Zohr prayers.
AL joint general secretaries Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, State Minister for Jute and Textile Mirza Azam, Environment and Forest Deputy Minister Abdullah Al Islam Jakob, Morshed Alam MP and Nizam Hazari, MP, among others, attended the janaza.
Meanwhile, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shocks at the demise of Fazilatunnesa.
In separate messages, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
