RAB nab JMB leader in N'ganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested a leader of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from no 1 launch ghat area of Sadar thana in Narayanganj on Friday night, reports UNB.

The arrestee is Md Tariqul Islam alias Tarek alias Bappi alias Sakib alias Nazmus Sakib, 30, chief of JBM south region.

A team of Rab-11 conducted the drive around 11:30 pm and arrested Tariqul Islam along with huge militant books, leaflets, training manual and one machete, said a RAB press release.

He was accused in eight cases filed under the Anti-terrorism and Explosives Acts, said the press release.
