SRIS Rabin and Md Rizvi Alam were elected the president and general secretary of the Spain unit of Awami League (SAL) respectively on Monday, reports BSS.
The Spain Awami League got the new leadership through its triennial council held at a city hotel in Madrid.
The session was held amid festivities in presence of more than seven hundred leaders and workers from different provinces of Spain.
President of All European Awami League M Nazrul Islam was present at the triennial council of Spain Awami League as the chief guest while general secretary of All European Awami League Mojibur Rahman was present as special guest. Later M Nazrul Islam announced the names of the SAL's new leadership after the second session of the council, according to a message received here Wednesday.
Besides, president of Italy Awami League Idris Farazi and general secretary Hasan Iqbal, Austria Awami League president Hafizur Rahman Sardar, leaders Gazi Mohammad Miah, Zakir Hossain, Ekramuzzaman Kiron, Shyamol Talukder, Tamim Chowdhury, Dabirul Talukder, Khadiza Akter Manika, Akteruzzaman, Kabir Hossain, Belal Uddin, AKM Selim Reza, Babla Chowdhury, Mizan Ahmed, Hira Alam, Mainul Abedin, Mohiuddin Harun and Amir Hossain Amu joined the council.
