The Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakha (RAJUK) will take up projects to allot apartments to the city dwellers instead of plots, RAJUK chairman Joinal Abedin Bhuiyan told journalists Sunday, reports BSS.
"RAJUK will not take any project for plots, it will arrange apartments for people of the country," Mr Joinal made the comments while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with journalists at his office in the city Sunday.
Mr Joinal said the RAJUK has created 2,000 new posts for mitigating its manpower crisis, adding: "We will recruit manpower shortly." "We have also taken initiative to strengthen its zonal offices," he added.
The chairman, however, said the RAJUK made fences around the forest following the High Court (HC) direction and now the Purbachal is completely free of any such problem. He also requested Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) to install water supply line and arrange sewerage line in Purbachal project.
The meeting was also addressed, among others, by members of RAJUK Naim Ahmed Khan, Syed Nazrul Islam and Sheikh Abdul Mannan.
