RAJSHAHI, July 31: A large number of mayoral candidates of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) polls has not shown their wealth statements authentically to Deputy Election Commissioner (DEC) of Rajshahi.
Many candidates have shown a part of their wealth in their statements but not their complete status.
It is learnt they allegedly concealed their wealth status technically while others have evaded the DEC through not mentioning anything clearly in their statements.
The DEC, however, did not take any action against the candidates in this connection.
Sources said, mayoral candidate Mohammad Farman Ali, in his wealth statement, has mentioned that he had no immovable properties, which was contradicted by the local people and said he did not state about his paternal properties a share of which he owns.
