Terming unfortunate the gun attack on Reaz Rahman, an adviser to BNP chairperson, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan said Wednesday the perpetrators will be hunted down.
"Action will be taken...whoever they're will be brought to justice after investigation," he told UNB.
Reaz Rahman, also a former state minister, suffered bullet wounds in a gun attack in the city's Gulshan area Tuesday night.
Asad also said no one of those engaged in subversive activities across the country like killing, vandalism and torching transports on the streets during the current nonstop blockade will be spared.
Terming the attack on Reaz Rahman part of Khaleda Zia's blueprint, Awami League (AL) joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif said Wednesday that the BNP chief has reengaged in crafting conspiracies.
"I think the attack on BNP chairperson's adviser Reaz Rahman is part of that blueprint as Khaleda has restarted the politics of dead bodies …she's now desperate to capture state power," he said.
The AL leader said this while addressing a press conference at the party president Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office in the city.
Mr Hanif further alleged that Khaleda Zia wants to destabilise the country through killings with its own people only to capture state power, as she believes only in the politics of killing and bodies.
