The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists who have revolted for having been left out of its new committee Monday threatened to continue their ongoing agitation unless BNP student affairs secretary Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee and his deputy Sultan Salahuddin Tuku are removed from their party posts, reports UNB.
Ferdous Ahmed Munna, a leader of the rebel JCD group, came up with the threat at a press conference on the ground floor of the BNP's Nayapaltan central office.
In a written speech, the group also placed their three-point demand, including removal of Anee and Tuku, formation of a fresh JCD committee dissolution of the current one and withdrawal of expulsion orders against some leaders of the rebel JCD group.
