Religious sanctity to be protected as per constitution: Inu

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said Wednesday the religious sanctity will be protected as per the country's constitution, reports BSS.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led government has arranged all measure for performing religious activities of all people in different faiths, whatever religious traders, war criminals, militants and Khaleda followers groups say," he told representatives of Alem-Olema Mashayakh at his office at Bangladesh Secretariat.

The minister said the ill motive of militants, communal forces and war criminals will be faced and all religious leaders in different faiths to be protected following constitution.

A ten-member representatives team led by Shah Mohammad Ahsanuzzaman, Peer of Narinda Mushurikhola Darbar Sharif met the minister and discussed various issues including religious traders and militants.

Shah Mohammad Ahsanuzzaman alleged that vested quarters are involved in trading religion for getting benefit.
