Reza Kibria's nomination trashed for credit card default

The nomination paper of former Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria's son and Gano Forum runner Reza Kibria for Habiganj-1 constituency has been cancelled for credit card default, reports UNB.

Returning Officer Mahmudul Kabir Murad made the announcement after scrutinising his nomination paper on Sunday morning.

As per the election office, Reza did not pay Tk 5,500 withdrawn against a credit card of City Bank Ltd.

Talking to reporters, the Gano Forum contestant said he could not pay the credit card bill in time as he had been abroad for long. "But I've already paid it."
