Rizvi gets HC bail in 2 cases

The High Court (HC) granted on Sunday interim bail to BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in two cases filed for torching vehicles, reports UNB.

A HC bench, comprising Justice Mohammad Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Khasruzzaman, passed the order.

The court also issued a rule, asking the government to explain why the BNP leader should not be given permanent bail in the two cases.

Advocate Joynul Abedin stood for Rizvi.

Police filed the cases against the BNP leader with Mohammadpur Police Station on January 23 and 27.
