RMP imposes ban on poll campaigning

RAJSHAHI, Aug 1 (BSS): Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has imposed restrictions on campaign in the city corporation areas on the occasion of the August 4 Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) election.

An RMP notification here today said restriction has been imposed on public meeting and holding of any procession in the city areas from 12 pm Saturday (August 2) to 12 pm August 6 (Wednesday).

Election campaign through using loudspeaker and other visible instruments and by arranging procession, and meeting is being suspended from 12 pm Saturday, it said.
