\\\'Rowshan Ershad to be opposition leader\\\'

Jatiya Party (JP) presidium member Kazi Firoj Rashid Monday said his party would join the 10th national parliament as the main opposition party, led by Rowshan Ershad, reports BSS.

"We (JP) will work for the welfare of the country and the people and play active role in the parliament," Firoz, who was elected from Dhaka-6 constituency in the 10th parliamentary polls, told reporters after a meeting with the Rowshan at her Gulshan's residence in city.

Firoz said, "We, the newly elected party's parliamentary members have decided to elect Rowshan Ershad as the leader of the opposition."

The party's stance to be presented before the people through a press conference soon, he added.
