Sajeda urges new generation to know correct history

Deputy Leader of Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury Saturday said the new generation would have to know the correct history of the Liberation War, reports BSS. The teacher community would have to play the pioneering role in this regard, she said while speaking as the chief guest at a function to celebrate founding centenary of Nakol Raicharan High Secondary School at Sripur Upazila in Magura. Presided over by the school's former student and former deputy secretary Motahar Hossain, the function was also addressed by Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Chairman Prof Dr Sirajul Akbar, MP, Magura Poura Mayor Altaf Hossain, Faridpur district Awami League Vice-president Aiman Akbar Chowdhury, school managing committee Chairman Humayun Rashid Muhith and Headmaster Shafiqul Azam. Sajeda Chowdhury said the present government is giving the highest priority to agriculture sector and the farmers. The government has made fertilisers, seeds and inputs available for the farmers, she said and added that the government wants to ensure food security and make the country self-reliant in food.
