Salahuddin says ‘sorry’ for using S Alam's car

BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has expressed sorrow for inadvertently using a car owned by S Alam Group while attending his reception in Cox's Bazar.

"I was not aware that the car was owned by S Alam Group. There was no scope to make crosscheck by myself as I was highly emotional to visit my own area after long 10 years. This news has created confusion," he told a press briefing at his residence of Gulshan area in the capital.

"I express sorrow and seek apology to the countrymen for this inadvertent mistake," he said.

Salahuddin has called upon the media to make reports against fascist Sheikh Hasina and her collaborators, including S Alam Group.

"It should now be our (media) responsibility to gather information on ousted autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina and her collaborators and publish those because they have destroyed the country's all institutions, including the judiciary and democracy," he said.
