Additional Secretary of Election Commission (EC) Secretariat Ashok Kumar Debnath has said Saturday was the last date to submit the application to participate in the general election slated for January 7 in alliance, reports BSS.
"...So far the commission has received applications from seven parties," he said this in response to a query of journalists at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city's Agargaon on Saturday.
He stated Awami League will hold the parliamentary elections with the "Boat" symbol.
