SCBA chief demands withdrawal of false cases against SK Sinha

President of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon has demanded withdrawal of the false cases against former Chief Justice SK Sinha and take initiative to bring him back to the country, reports BSS.

He raised the demand to the government while briefing newsmen on the Supreme Court premises on Thursday.

The previous Awami League government forced to resign him from the position of the Chief Justice and leave the country, he said, adding, even he was awarded punishment in false cases.

Barrister Khokon also demanded investigation against those persons who were involved with the group which forced Sinha to leave the country.

SCBA president also demanded bringing back home former District and Sessions Judge of Dhaka Motahar Hossain, who acquitted BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from the charge of a money laundering case.
