Schoolgirl, housewife found dead

LAXMIPUR, July 31 (UNB): In separate incidents, police recovered the bodies of a schoolgirl and a housewife in Sadar and Raipur upazilas on Friday morning and Thursday night.

In Sadar upazila, the schoolgirl was found hanging at her house at Abirnagar village on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Asma Akhter Pinky, daughter of Osman Goni of the village and a class-IX student of a local school.

Family members found her hanging from the ceiling in her room at night and informed police who later recovered the body.

In Raipur, police recovered a body of the housewife from her house at Charboga village on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Khuki Begum, wife of Harunur Rashid, a resident of the village.

Police said Khuki took poison over family feud.

Later, she was rushed to Raipur health complex where doctors declared her dead.

Assistant Police Super (Sadar circle) Mohammad Nasim Miah confirmed the incident.
