Seven war crimes accused arrested in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, July 02 (BSS): Police today arrested seven war crime accused of 1971 from different villages of Dimla upazila of the district.
The arrested are: Ekramul Haque, 78, son of late Ibrahim Munsi of Khalisha Chapani union; Abdus Sattar, 79, son of late Shahdat Ullah of Dimla Sadar union; Abdul Khaleq, 71, son of late Abdul Hakim of Balapara union; Moklesar Rahman Khoka, 76, son of Baktear Uddin, Shahidullah Sarkar, 70, son of late Kasim Uddin and Nurul Haque, 65, son of late Nafir Uddin Fesu of Gayabari union and Shadat Hossain, 68, son of late Hatem Ali of Khagakhri union.
Police said the seven are accused in a case filed on November 20, 2017 with International Crime Tribunal (ICT) on charge of committing war crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
Police Super Ashraf Hossain said the arrestees would be produced before the ICT in Dhaka.
