Shamsher Mobin Chy gets bail

A Dhaka court granted bail Thursday to BNP leader Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury in a case of damaging vehicles and intercepting police while performing their professional duties, reports BSS.

Additional Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Ali Masud Sheikh passed the order as the BNP leader sought bail after appearing before the court.

The case was lodged on charges of making an attempt to kill police personnel, damaging vehicles and preventing police from performing their professional duties during a nationwide hartal called by the BNP on June 27 in 2010.

Sub -Inspector Mohammad Ali filed the case accusing Shamsher Mobin and some others with Gulshan Police Station. Earlier on June 30, a Dhaka court granted his bail in the case.
