Sheikh Mani's birth anniv today

The 85th birth anniversary of Awami Juba League founding chairman Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani will be observed today (Monday).

Sheikh Mani was the nephew of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the founder of Mujib Bahini, one of the major guerrilla forces of the Liberation War.

He also played a pivotal role in the six-point movement in 1966.

Sheikh Mani was born on December 4 in 1939 at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
