Our correspondent BOGRA, Oct 13:- The officer-in-charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station was closed into Rajshahi Range and two sub-inspectors of the police station were also closed for their negligence in duties related to an acid throwing case and release of a suspected smuggler after arresting him. Md Humayun Kabir, superintendent of police (SP) of Bogra district, confirmed the news through the cell phone Thursday afternoon. A dependable source of police informed that they were closed for a misleading investigation report of an acid throwing case and another complaint of releasing an alleged foreign currency smuggler after arrest. Police sources said that investigation was conducted against all three by Md Arifur Rahman Mondal, Senior Assistant Police Super (ASP) of Bogra.
