Six BNP MPs go to CHT on Mar 15

A six-member BNP parliamentary party team under the directive of the party Chairperson and Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia will visit the recent violence-hit areas of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) on March 15 to apprise her of the actual happenings, reports UNB.
The team led by Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Faroque will visit the affected areas of Baghaichhari in Rangamati district and Sadar in Khagrachhari district where violent incidents took place a few days back following clashes between tribal and non-tribal dwellers of the hill districts.
The BNP parliamentary team will exchange views with the affected people in the troubled areas.
On return to Dhaka the same day, the team will submit a report to the BNP chairperson.
The other members of the BNP parliamentary team are Jafrul Islam Chowdhury, Abul Khair Bhuiyan, Ashrafuddin Nizan, Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie and Nazimuddin Ahmed.
Meanwhile, the BNP chairperson will embark on her planned organisational tour to six divisional headquarters from the port city of Chittagong on March 27 with a public meeting at the outer stadium.
