Six leaders of AL fronts held in 24 hrs

Members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested six leaders of associate organisations of Awami League (AL) from different places during separate raids over the last 24 hours (6:00 am Sunday to 6:00 am Monday).

The arrestees are: vice-president of ward no 54 of Turag thana unit Awami League Md Sirajul Islam (49), vice - president of ward no. 35 of Bangshal thana AL Md Warez Sikder (48), assistant organising secretary of Turag / thana Jubo League Md Shaheed Alam (40), former member of Jubo League central committee Shahidul Haque Chowdhury Rana (54), AL leader of Jatrabari thana unit Jahidul Islam Tushar (30) and former general secretary of Turag thana Swechchhasebak League Md Rezaul Karim (47).

Legal action was taken against them, according to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
