Six monuments to be constructed in Natore

NATORE, Mar 15 (BSS): The government has decided to build six monuments at the places of mass killings by Pakistan occupation forces in 1971 in the district.
Sources said the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs decided to preserve with honour 176 places of mass killing in the country. Of those six are in Natore that included Chhatni- Bhabni and Ahammadpur bridge under Natore Sadar Upazila, Gopalpur Shahid Sagar at Lalpur, Uttar Nari Bari at Gurudaspur, Dhanaidaha bridge and Kalikapur at Baraigram Upazila.
The places of killings in Ahammadpur Bridge and Dhanaidaha bridge belong to roads and highways department and Shahid Sagar belong to North Bengal Sugar Mills authority. These three places will be handed over to the concerned authority.
