Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate drives across the country Saturday arrested six suspected leaders of banned militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al Islami (HuJI), RAB sources said.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB's intelligence wing raided a house at Nababerbagh in Mirpur-1 in the capital and arrested Mohammad Abdul Khair, 40, and Maulana Mohammad Musa, 38, from there, a RAB official told the FE.
According to their confessional statements, the elite force members arrested four more suspects from Feni and Chittagong districts.
The arrested persons were identified as Abdul Aziz, 45, Rezaul Karim, 40, Ansar Uddin Javed, 38, and Abdullah Al Hossain, 40.
"Drives are on as we suspect more HuJI members are still at large in the country," he said.
